InventHelp Inventor Develops Accessory Assists Nursing Mothers with Breast-Feeding and Pumping (PIT-221)

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- "We thought that there had to be a better way to keep clothing secured so that a nursing mother could breast-feed or pump without having to hold her top or shirt," said one of two inventors from Sewickley, Pa. "Our idea secures clothing so that hands are free, making it much easier to breast-feed or pump. It is also great for use by individuals with wounds or ostomy bags, as it will hold back the shirt without having to hold it by hand."

They developed the patented MILLYBUTTON to free a mother's hands by securing her clothing while breast-feeding or pumping. The accessory allows for successful and sustained breast-feeding. The unit promotes eye contact and bonding. It allows for proper positioning and skin-on-skin contact for successful latch-on. The device reminds mother which breast to initiate nursing. It is ideal for the workplace, as it reduces time away from the job. The invention expands clothing choices, is safe for all fabrics and is durable and easy to clean. Additionally, the invention is usable to secure clothing for easier management of a wound or appliance, such as an ostomy.

The original design was submitted to the Pittsburgh office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
