Peter Bermont Named To Forbes List Of Top Wealth Advisors

CORAL GABLES, Fla., Sept. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Peter Bermont, a Managing Director with Raymond James & Associates, Inc., member New York Stock Exchange/SIPC, was among the Raymond James-affiliated advisors named to the Forbes list of America's Top Wealth Advisors. The list, which recognizes advisors from national, regional and independent firms, was released online September 12, 2018.

The 2018 Top Wealth Advisors list includes 250 star advisors who manage over $733 billion in client assets. Each advisor was nominated by their respective firm, then vetted and ranked by SHOOK Research.

Bermont, whose office is located at 2333 Ponce De Leon Boulevard in Coral Gables, currently manages more than 1.7 billion in client assets and specializes in wealth management for high net worth individuals, companies, not-for-profit corporations and endowments.

The Forbes ranking of America's Top Wealth Advisors, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative and quantitative data, rating thousands of wealth advisors with a minimum of seven years of experience. Ranking algorithm is based on quality of practice, including: telephone and in-person interviews; client retention; industry experience; review of compliance records; firm nominations; and quantitative criteria, including assets under management and revenue generated for their firms. Investment performance is not a criteria because client objectives and risk tolerances vary, and advisors rarely have audited performance reports. Rankings are based on the opinions of SHOOK Research, LLC, which does not receive compensation from the advisors or their firms in exchange for placement on the ranking. Research summary (as of September 2018): 25,732 advisor nominations were received, based on thresholds. 9,596 advisors were invited to complete the online survey. 7,174 advisors were interviewed by telephone. 1,503 advisors were interviewed in-person at the advisor's location. Final list of the top 250 advisors was then compiled based upon the quantitative criteria. Raymond James is not affiliated with Forbes or Shook Research, LLC. This ranking is not indicative of advisor's future performance, is not an endorsement, and may not be representative of individual clients' experience. Neither Raymond James nor any of its financial advisors or RIA firms pay a fee in exchange for this award/rating.
