Pogo Carshare joins Communauto Group

Local company partners to expand carsharing in Edmonton with more cars and lower fares

EDMONTON, Sept.19, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Pogo Carshare is proud to announce its partnership with Communauto, the oldest and largest carsharing organization in Canada. The two companies plan to further develop carsharing and promote sustainable mobility solution in Edmonton.

As part of the partnership, in the coming months Pogo Carshare will increase the number of vehicles and lower pricing on longer trips to make carsharing even more attractive for Edmontontians to use.

"Being a part of a larger group allows us to make investments that would have been difficult to do otherwise. The Communauto group has great experience and we can profit from their support and infrastructure" says Kieran Ryan, President of Pogo Carshare. "Lower pricing is the first of many opportunities that this partnership will produce. We plan to increase the Edmonton fleet to double the number of cars in the next two years and to take advantage of Communauto's resources to accelerate our technical development."

"Pogo Carshare is a great fit for our group" says Benoit Robert, CEO and founder of Communauto. "We share a social and environmental mission. Developing carsharing across Canada is one of our goals. Investing in Pogo Carshare will allow them to grow faster and more sustainably in Alberta.
