Tellables CEO to Discuss Books and Voice Assistants at Digital Book World

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Sept. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Tellables CEO Amy Stapleton is speaking on voice assistants and books at Digital Book World 2018. Taking place in Nashville, TN from October 2-4, Digital Book World attracts publishers, authors, and content creators from around the globe.

Stapleton's talk is part of the New Media Book World track, presented by Amazon. With growing consumer adoption of smart speakers such as Amazon's Alexa-enabled Echo, Dot, and Show, many people are searching for new forms of voice-driven entertainment.

As CEO and founder of Tellables, a publisher of voice apps, Stapleton is scheduled to share insights from her company's work building conversational stories. "Voice assistants offer authors an entirely new way to connect with readers," said Stapleton. "In my talk I'll be exploring different forms of interactive fiction that are finding success on Amazon Alexa. The landscape of voice first fiction is still brand new and authors have plenty of time to get in on the ground floor."

Digital Book World covers a broad range of opportunities for increasing readership through eBooks, audiobooks, podcasts, and the new generation of voice first smart speakers.

The talk "Publishing Books in the Age of Voice Assistants" is set for Wednesday, Oct. 3rd from 10:45am - 11:30am. Topics covered will include:

In addition to her role at Tellables, Stapleton writes the Voice First Fiction blog. The blog is a resource for authors exploring new opportunities offered by speech recognition, natural language understanding, and the proliferation of smart speakers and voice assistants.

Additional resources for authors and publishers, including calls for submissions, are available on the Tellables website.
