TORONTO, Sept. 17, 2018 /CNW/ - The Concerned Shareholders of Current Water Technologies Inc. ("Current Water" or the "Company") wish to thank the many fellow shareholders that supported their director nominees at the Company's annual shareholders' meeting held on September 14, 2018.
Mr. Ron Hrynyk, one of the Concerned Shareholders states: "We would like to thank the shareholders who supported us in seeking a more independent board of directors and greater transparency at the Company.
We hope the board of directors understands that when approximately 40% of the shares voted at the meeting were voted against the management nominees, the board needs to examine carefully how the Company is operating and communicating with its shareholders. Without shareholder support and additional capital investment, the Company will not maximize shareholder value."
While the Concerned Shareholders' slate of nominees for a new, invigorated and qualified board focused on creating shareholder value and harnessing the potential of Current Water, did not get elected at the shareholders' meeting, the Concerned Shareholders will continue to press for a strategic plan from the Company and hold its board and management accountable for the Company's performance.
