Leesa Continues Aggressive European Expansion Plan With Ireland Launch

DUBLIN, September 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --

Leesa, a disruptive online luxury mattress company, is continuing its European expansion into Ireland after notable success in the United States, UK and Canada. The brand, brainchild of Manchester entrepreneur David Wolfe, is continuing to pursue its audacious goal of bringing a better night's sleep to people worldwide through the Ireland rollout.

As Leesa expands into Ireland, customers will know that their purchase makes a difference. Leesa donates one mattress for every ten it sells to a non-profit serving those seeking refuge from homelessness, domestic risk and human trafficking locally and has donated nearly 30,000 mattresses internationally.

The brand will be launching in Ireland with two innovative and well-loved products: the award-winning all-foam Leesa mattress and the Leesa pillow. Both products ship directly to consumers, cutting out the awkward mattress showroom experience and are available to try in a customer's own home for 100 nights, risk-free.

The Leesa mattress has been expertly designed with the three things you need in a mattress: comfort, recovery and support. The unique combination of three premium foam layers is universally adaptive, to provide optimum support, pressure relief and comfort for all body shapes and sleeping styles. The Leesa mattress has over 13,000 five-star reviews worldwide, was awarded Which? Best Buy January 2018, and is Good Housekeeping Institute and Men's Health Lab approved.

The Leesa pillow, which incorporates technology originally developed for NASA, is designed to cool one's head while keeping the neck and spine aligned; which is key to fall asleep quickly and stay asleep throughout the night.

"Following a great response to Leesa in the US, Canada, UK, Germany and Austria, we're delighted to be bringing Leesa to Ireland." said Richard Tucker, Managing Director Europe at Leesa Sleep. "We see Ireland as the next logical step for us.  We have had so many enquiries from Irish customers and we hope they will love the Leesa mattress and pillow as much as our customers around the world do."

The launch in Ireland comes after a breakout year for Leesa, which included a £17.6 million round of Series B funding, the addition of former Seventh Generation CEO John Replogle and former President and COO of Rent the Runway Beth Kaplan to its Board, and the inclusion in Forbes' list of Next Billion Dollar Startups.

The Leesa mattress starts from ?449 and the pillow is priced at ?89. Both products come with a 100-night, risk-free in-home trial.
