VANCOUVER, Sept. 13, 2018 /CNW/ - Over five consecutive days this week, Canada Post is unveiling stamps to pay tribute to five groups of Canada's emergency responders ? paramedics, Canadian Armed Forces, search and rescue experts, firefighters and police officers. On Friday, Minister Carla Qualtrough will present all five stamps and emergency responders will be recognized.

Paramedics were honoured with a stamp in Fredericton, N.B. Monday; the Canadian Armed Forces were celebrated at CFB Valcartier, Quebec on Tuesday; our Search and Rescue experts were honoured in Banff, Alberta, on Wednesday; Firefighters are celebrated today in Halifax, Nova Scotia; and a stamp paying tribute to police officers will be unveiled in Ottawa, Ontario, on Friday.
The stamps express the respect and gratitude of Canadians to all emergency responders. With their skills, with their service and by their sacrifices, they find and rescue the lost; treat and save the seriously ill and injured; and protect us, our homes, businesses, and communities.
