Christopher Wallace's Newly Released "A Treasure Hid in a Field" is an Illuminating Overview of Catholicism for Those Seeking to Understand Its Tenets

MEADVILLE, Pa., Sept. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- "A Treasure Hid in a Field": a compelling overview of the Catholic faith. "A Treasure Hid in a Field" is the creation of published author, Christopher Wallace, a former Protestant minister for twenty years before converting to Catholicism; he has served as a catechist, summer Bible school teacher, confirmation teacher, and public middle school teacher answering his life's calling for educating others.

Wallace shares his journey of discovery, "Exhausted from all of the digging through Protestant theology, I decided to venture over into books written by Catholics. After all, if I wanted to know what they really believed, I could not rely on sources that were not even written by Catholics. For example, if I wanted to learn the rules of football, I would not study the rules of basketball. After reading a few Catholic books, I decided to buy a copy of the official Catechism of the Catholic Church and do my digging at the source of the roots. I was surprised when I found out what the Catholic Church really believes and teaches, even though not every one of its members always lives accordance with how they believe (a problem in all churches).
The Catechism was the beginning of the heavy work of digging through mounds of dirt thrown on it by non-Catholics, resulting in long hours of study. When I would find a source that says the Catholic Church believes this or that, I could always go to the Catechism and find what the Catholic Church really believes."

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Christopher Wallace's new book is in part a powerful testimony to the life-changing experience of walking fully in God's will, wherever it might lead.

Wallace offers a Spirit-filled and balanced perspective that seeks to answer the questions of seekers from any and all camps, encouraging honest introspection and perhaps a reassessment of one's ideas of certain doctrine.
