Tasha Lackman to serve as FGM's Vice-President of Operations


MONTRÉAL, Sept. 11, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - The Foundation of Greater Montréal (FGM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Tasha Lackman as its new Vice-President of Operations following a thorough selection process.

"Tasha Lackman's appointment attests to the growing importance of the FGM's philanthropic activities," says Yvan Gauthier, FGM's president and CEO, "in addition to our profound community engagement."

Ms. Lackman holds three undergraduate degrees: in law (McGill University), social work (McGill University) and environmental studies (University of Waterloo). Over the years, Ms. Lackman has acquired solid experience in the fields of philanthropy, strategic development, and partnerships. She previously served as Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives at McGill University. A business law specialist, she was named Young Bar of Montreal Lawyer of the Year in 2013 and is ranked among Montréal's Top 20 real estate lawyers. She worked for over 12 years for the law firm Fasken, where she rose to the rank of partner. She also founded and directed the yoga school Fertilité, Posture de l'Enfant.

Ms. Lackman has long been involved in the community. She has been or is currently involved with Oxfam-Quebec, the Girls Action Foundation, the YMCA, the Montreal Real Estate Foundation for Kids and CHUM. She was an FGM board member in 2017?2018 and served on the FGM Community Engagement Committee from 2016 to 2018.

"Through her engagement, expertise and leadership, Ms. Lackman will make a strategic contribution to our organization," says Mr. Gauthier. "In addition to working actively to implement the strategic plan, she will be coordinating the FGM''s major projects in collaboration with the management team."

She will enter into office on September 24.
