Registration is Open for the DC Walk for Carcinoid Cancer

ARLINGTON, Va., Sept. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- eGlobalTech has partnered with the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (NETRF) to host the DC Walk for Carcinoid Cancer. Both organizations are raising money to fund neuroendocrine tumor research for cures and more effective treatments. All proceeds will be donated to NETRF. Only 12,000 neuroendocrine cancer cases are diagnosed each year; therefore, it does not receive the awareness or funding of more prevalent cancers.

The 2-mile fundraising walk will be on Saturday, November 10 (World NET Cancer Awareness Day) starting at Quincy Park in Arlington, VA at 10:00 am. The route goes through Arlington's charming Clarendon and Ballston communities and finishes back at Quincy Park for a fun-filled celebration with music, a playground, moon bounce, food trucks, and arts and crafts. All Washingtonians are welcome to participate to raise money for a great cause ? the goal is to raise $20,000! Prizes will be given to the most successful fundraisers. Supporters don't have to live in the Washington Metro Area to participate in the DC Walk for Carcinoid Cancer. Anyone can be a virtual walker in their hometown. This allows participants to be with patients fighting carcinoid cancer in spirit and to help with a noble cause.
