The American Federation of Government Employees, the nation's largest federal employee union, has endorsed Haley Stevens for the U.S. House of Representatives for Michigan's 11th Congressional District.

"As federal workers continue to face a hostile administration and Congress, it's essential that we elect leaders who will stand up for public servants. "Haley has dedicated her career to helping workers across the state by bringing in good paying jobs, and we know that she will keep up that effort in Congress," said James. "From fully-funding and staffing the VA to opposing ill-conceived tax reform that robs federal workers ? we know that Haley will stand up for what's right. We look forward to her winning this fall and getting to work representing Michiganders in Congress next year."

More than 95,000 federal workers and retirees live in Michigan ? with more than 31,000 of whom living in the 11th district ? supporting the military, caring for veterans, ensuring the safety of the flying public, and getting Social Security recipients their benefits accurately and on time.
