Throughout the trip, Minister Hussen delivered several speeches to both academic and private sector audiences. "Canada shares a past and a common set of values with both New Zealand and Australia, and we continue to enjoy a longstanding partnership on a broad range of issues related to immigration, refugees, citizenship and reconciliation. I was pleased to learn how these 2 countries are tackling challenges and finding opportunities with immigration, while also having the opportunity to share Canada's experiences and success in welcoming newcomers, fostering inclusion and diversity, and encouraging pathways to citizenship."
