Marie Slaight comments on Toronto Star JAZZ.FM91 article
TORONTO, Aug. 25, 2018 /CNW/ - On behalf of Marie Slaight, we are issuing a statement taking exception to the story in the Toronto Star Friday, August 24 with the headline "Daughter of Broadcast Mogul Allan Slaight Makes Bid to Gain Control of Troubled JazzFM".
The sole intention of the letter to the JAZZ.FM Board, which was leaked without authorization to the Toronto Star and The Globe and Mail, was to raise the issues expressed by herself and others to the station, and to hopefully work to resolve them. The goal was to ensure that this unique non-profit radio station continues to serve listeners with the playing of great jazz, promoting up and coming talent and serving the community through education and out-reach programs.
