Nominations Now Open for the Vigilant Solutions' Vigilant Communities Award Honoring Law Enforcement Innovation


LIVERMORE, Calif., Aug. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Vigilant Solutions ? an AI and data analytics company ? is now accepting nominations for the Vigilant Communities Award, recognizing innovative use of automated license plate recognition (ALPR), facial recognition and/or ballistics analysis/firearms mapping technology by law enforcement agencies to keep communities safe. Up to three agency winners will be selected, and each will receive a donation of $2,000 to the agency's Fallen Officer Fund or another charity of their choice.

All U.S. law enforcement agencies utilizing ALPR, facial recognition and/or ballistics analysis/firearms mapping are eligible, and agencies may nominate themselves or may be nominated by another agency. Nomination forms are due by September 7, 2018 at 11:59pm PST, and a final selection will be made by September 21, 2018. The winning agency will be notified directly, with an official presentation of the award to take place at the International Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Conference and Exhibition in Orlando, Fla., October 6-9, 2018.
