ERA taking Edmonton by storm donating much needed tech to those in need
The Electronic Recycling Association picks Edmonton to donate computers and laptops to for their Day of Donation campaign this month
EDMONTON, Aug. 23, 2018 /CNW/ - The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is excited to announce they will be holding their monthly program, Day of Donations, in Edmonton. This will be the second month this program has been in place. This time there will be a donation to three organizations; Brander Gardens After School Care, The Elizabeth Fry Society of Edmonton and Spinal Cord Injury Alberta.
Brander Gardens provides instruction for elementary students in the Regular and French Immersion Programs. All students receive Music and Fine Arts instruction. A strong focus is placed on academic achievement, and on social, emotional and physical growth and development. Students have opportunities to develop leadership skills and provide service to the school and community. This particular donation will go towards their after school program.
The Elizabeth Fry Society of Edmontonadvances the dignity and worth of all women and girls who are or may be at risk of becoming criminalized. It is a community that supports, respects, and empowers all women and girls.
Spinal Cord Injury Alberta has been helping Canadians with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities. Started by a core group of WWII veterans in Ontario, the association has expanded to include offices in almost every province. Albertans with spinal cord injury and other physical disabilities will enjoy optimal physical, spiritual, economic and emotional well-being within fully accessible and welcoming communities free of physical, attitudinal and systemic barriers.
"We are looking forward to holding our Day of Donations campaign in Edmonton this month." Said Bojan Paduh, Founder of The Electronic Recycling Association. "These three organizations give back to our community on a daily basis and we are delighted to give back to them. We wish them all the best for the future and are extremely proud to have them as activists in our community."
ERA will be back in Edmonton in September to donate 30 laptops to Al Mustafa Academy with the help of MLA Marlin Schmidt.
