Local Rookie of the Year Named RE/MAX National Industry Leader

FREDERICK, Md., Aug. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- On Saturday, August 10, RE/MAX announced the top 400 Industry Leaders throughout the Nation. Local resident Mary Ratchford, who last year was awarded the RE/MAX Plus Rookie of the Year was recognized by RE/MAX Corporate as a National Industry Leader. Serving on the Executive Board of the Women's Council of Realtors, Frederick Network as Secretary, Mary was recognized for helping shape the future of the industry in the RE/MAX national magazine, ABOVE. In just her second year as a Realtor, Mary has utilized skills she honed in previous corporate careers toward a successful and electric Real Estate career. Ms. Ratchford also serves on the Membership Committee of the Women's Giving Circle, Frederick and recently submitted her application to serve as a new member of The Rotary Club of Frederick.

"Drive. Discipline. Unstoppable work ethic. Those are RE/MAX traits. So it's no surprise to see many RE/MAX Affiliates advancing the industry as leaders of local and national boards or associations. A new mastermind initiative has helped bring many of these leaders together to share ideas, exchange philosophies and offer insights on driving the network ? and the entire industry ? forward." said RE/MAX ABOVE magazine

"Our industry is complicated, forms driven, heavily regulated and can be a challenge for even the most seasoned agents, never mind our clients who rely on us for guidance. Helping clients easily and successfully maneuver what can be an anxiety provoking experience is what drives me to manage the process for each client according to his or her needs at any given time. I take the Seller's sale and Buyer's purchase quite personally and with a fiduciary responsibility to each client, every single time. It's quite possibly the largest purchases one will ever make and unlike buying a candy bar, it's not an impulse buy: it takes compassion, precision and savvy to close the deal joyfully for all involved." said Mary Ratchford, RE/MAX Plus agent.

" There can be at times a misnomer in the public's eye that Real Estate agents list homes and show up to collect checks, that is until they (Buyers and Sellers) start to maneuver the process and see exactly what needs to happen to experience a successful close of Real Property. The process can takes months or a year or more and patient guidance and an empathetic understanding of the client's needs is a critical factor. I think you have to both love this industry and personally care, a lot, about the client in order to facilitate a successful and happy experience, and I really do!", said Ratchford.

"What distinguishes us at RE/MAX is the extreme customer service we are driven to provide; personalized customer service that's not a One Size fits all approach. This is also what drew me to serve on the Women's Council of Realtors as Secretary this year and run for President Elect in 2019. We seek to promote men and women in the industry by providing education, legislative updates, member driven experiences and an industry platform that not only expands a member's knowledge base, but also provides invaluable resources to crystalize in a positive way, the real estate transaction process. Programs and educational classes offered allow members to grow personally and professionally leaning in and on each other. It's a win for agents which trickles down to a win for clients; the more we know and can share, the better the Real Property transaction process is for all. I'm beyond excited to be recognized by RE/MAX as an Industry Leader and will continue to help shape and grow our industry with a heart for service!" said Ratchford
