The Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Minister of Health and Member of Parliament for Moncton?Riverview?Dieppe, on behalf of the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, the Honourable Roger Melanson, Minister of Post-Secondary Education, on behalf of the Honourable Andrew Harvey, Minister of Environment and Local Government, and Jacques Paul Couturier, President and Vice-Chancellor of the Université de Moncton, today announced over $1.3 million to improve road, water and wastewater infrastructure at the Université de Moncton.
The governments of Canada and New Brunswick, and the Université de Moncton are each providing over $460,000.
The funding will be used to upgrade the water and wastewater infrastructure as well as expand and upgrade the road infrastructure on campus. Not only will this project will create jobs during construction, it will improve the quality of life for students and employees at the Université and protect the local ecosystem for the next generation.
