2WD Bike Twicycle Fulfills Crowdfunding Promise

MIAMI, Aug. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Twicycle, a bike that doubles cyclists' workout by incorporating arm cranks in addition to regular ones, successfully completed first manufacturing run early this year and has since delivered bikes to all of its crowdfunding backers. Twicycle debuted in this year's Eurobike, the world's largest cycling trade show.

Early crowdfunding backers along with customers who pre-ordered their bikes since the successful ending of the crowdfunding campaign received their bikes throughout the month of March 2018. While the delivery of bikes was delayed due to unforeseen manufacturing circumstances, the feedback from customers who have received the bikes has been overwhelmingly positive.

Twicycle showcased carbon fiber and aluminum bikes to showgoers at Eurobike 2018 in Germany in July with the bikes receiving positive feedback from gathering crowds at the grounds. Industry professionals were able to test the bike mounted on dual turbo trainers which allowed them to simulate both leg and arm propulsion. Users were able to measure wattage produced by either crank systems. The test measurements demonstrated that an additional 430 watts of power can be generated by arm propulsion only.

Twicycle was also able to demonstrate to onlookers the extra acceleration possible with dual crank systems. It has been likened to E-Bike power by many.

Since the crowdfunding, Twicycle has only been offered for sale online, through the official website and numerous bikes have been shipped worldwide directly to end users. However, Twicycle has been in talks with bike distributors and retailers with the intention of stocking the bikes in physical shops worldwide. The initial distributor and retailer are Bar-Tek in Germany, with more to follow.

Twicycle referral sales program is available to viral social media platforms. Media outlets interested in referral partnership can reach out directly.

Previous Twicycle viral videos which have been viewed by millions featured the bike prototypes in tropical settings of Miami, FL as well as the mountainous region of the Balkans. The upcoming videos will showcase the actual production model ridden through the Italian, Swiss and Austrian Alps, German Bavaria and Croatian coastline.

TwiCycle is aimed at people who enjoy cycling, the outdoors and would like to workout their full body equally well including their arms, chest, and back.
