A New Head Office for la Vie en Rose and Bikini Village

Boutique la Vie en Rose Inc. acquires 3055 Viau building in Montréal

MONTREAL, Aug. 16, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Boutique la Vie en Rose Inc. (la Vie en Rose and Bikini Village), is proud to announce that it has acquired the building located at 3055 Viau Street in Montreal. Following renovation, Canada's largest specialty retailer of lingerie and swimwear plans to move its head office and distribution centre to the 353,000 square-foot building.

"This acquisition was necessary to continue the growth of our banners," says François Roberge, President and CEO of Boutique la Vie en Rose Inc. "Adding new employees to our teams as well as receiving more merchandise to supply our rising store count and, moreover, fulfilling our e-commerce orders which are increasing significantly was becoming a daily challenge. The lack of space was starting to slow down our growth in Canada and our expansion in the United States which are essential to achieve my 2022 goal of doubling our sales. "

Beginning this fall, we plan to gradually relocate all distribution centre activities to the new building, with the goal of being fully operational in the new space by spring 2019. The area for the offices requires more intricate renovations, it will be ready to welcome the various departments by fall 2019.

This acquisition and renovation project involves an investment of $ 25 million by Boutique la Vie en Rose Inc. and will allow the company to quickly move from 300 employees to 400 employees once the move is completed.

"I probably could have found such a large space elsewhere on the Island of Montreal, but I did not want to leave Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. I am proud to have been part of the neighborhood since 1999, " says François Roberge. "I'm choosing to remain in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve not only so as not to disrupt the quality of life of my employees in terms of commute, but also to continue to be an economic player in the neighborhood. "

The transaction for the acquisition of 3055 Viau Street in Montreal took place and was formalized on Friday, August 10, 2018. All specific details of the transaction remain confidential at the request of all parties.
