Media Advisory: 113th Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Conference Schedule of Media Conferences and Releases
HALIFAX, Nova Scotia, Aug. 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) will be holding its 113th Annual Conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia from August 12th to 15th, 2018. The conference is co-hosted with the Halifax Regional Police, the Halifax District RCMP and the Halifax Military Police Unit of the Canadian Armed Forces.
The following provides a schedule of the media conferences that will take place and of the releases to be issued during this period:
Monday, August 13th, 2018
Media Conference*: Kick-off of the CACP's 113th Annual Conference: Policing in an Ever Changing World
Time: 10:45 a.m. (Atlantic Daylight Time)
Location: Halifax Convention Centre, Room 502, Ballroom Level
Purpose: To discuss the conference theme and objectives
Speakers: Directeur Mario Harel, President of the CACP, and Chief Jean-Michel Blais, from the Halifax Regional Police

Media Tour of the Conference Exhibit Hall:
Time: Immediately following the Q& A session of the media conference
Location: Halifax Convention Centre, Convention Hall Level
Purpose: Get a glimpse of the latest products and services available to police services across Canada.
Media Conference* & Technical Briefing: Launch of the Introduction to Cannabis Legislation online training module for Canadian police officers
Time: 9:00 a.m. (Atlantic Daylight Time)
Location: Halifax Convention Centre, Room 502, Ballroom Level
Purpose: Introduce and provide a demonstration of the new cannabis online training module
Speakers - Launch: Directeur Mario Harel, President of the CACP; Mr. Sandy Sweet, President of the Canadian Police Knowledge Network (CPKN)

CACP Resolutions
