Media Opportunity: IBC Flood Factor booth educates British Columbians on the risk of flood; IBC and the Honourable Mike Farnworth make donation to Coquitlam Search and Rescue


COQUITLAM, BC, Aug. 9, 2018 /CNW/ - Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) is proud to bring Flood Factor, an important consumer education initiative to raise Canadians' level of awareness of flood risk, to Coquitlam, BC.

As an industry leader on adapting to the impact of climate change, IBC will be presenting a $2,500 cheque to Coquitlam Search and Rescue while at the Kaleidoscope Arts Festival on August 11. The cheque will be presented by Aaron Sutherland, Vice-President, Pacific, IBC, in partnership with the Honourable Mike Farnworth, MLA for Port Coquitlam.  Tom Zajac, Vice-President, Coquitlam Search and Rescue, will be accepting the cheque on the organization's behalf.
