NEW YORK, Aug. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2018, one of the world's three most authoritative spirits competitions, often cited as the Olympics of the liquor industry, concluded last week. Leading liquor brands from across the world were invited to take part, including Martell, Johnnie Walker, Chivas Regal, Yamazaki, Moutai and Jiannanchun (JNC), among others, to be evaluated by their expert panel of judges. Leading Chinese liquor brand, Moutai, won the Finalist award with a score of 96, while JNC, rated at 97, was awarded the Chairman's Trophy, the highest honor of the competition. Both received special recognition from the judges for the fine quality of the liquor.

The Ultimate Spirits Challenge is an annual non-commercial professional tasting competition held in New York. The judging panel consists of representatives from authoritative organizations and professionals in the industry designated by the organizing committee. The rigorous science-based evaluation process lasts two to three months and covers sample delivery, a blind taste test and a phased evaluation process.

With carefully crafted products, JNC continues to create an iconic liquor brand in its home market and promote Chinese liquor culture internationally. JNC's success at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge has helped increase the brand's awareness overseas as a leading liquor manufacturer.

In December 2017, JNC made its first big international debut as it attended The Chinese Arts Gala held at UN headquarters in New York as a strategic partner. As the first Chinese liquor maker to display at UN headquarters, JNC played a significant role in the promotion of Chinese culture. Winning the highest honor at Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2018 is considered a new milestone for the Chinese liquor brand as it expands into international markets.

With over 1,500 years of history, and a unique five-grain brewing process (ordinary rice, sticky rice, wheat and corn) unchanged for more than a millennium, JNC is considered one of the top two fragrant liquor producing brands in China. Cited in historical texts dating back to the reign of Emperor Dezong, during the Later Tang Dynasty period (742-805), JNC has a proven record of sourcing the best quality ingredients and ethos of providing high-end consumers with a liquor of choice.
