Maryknoll Sisters Will Host Fundraising Gala


OSSINING, N.Y., Aug. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- On September 7th, 2018 the Maryknoll Sisters will be hosting a fundraising Gala: Gateway to the World, at Historic Ellis Island in New York Harbor. This is the biggest fundraising event of the year for the Congregation. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Sisters global missions and ministries to continue giving hope to those in need. The evening will include: dinner, dancing, a silent auction and more!

Hundreds of guests are anticipated to attend. This year's Keynote Speaker will be Maryknoll Sister, Sr. Claudette LaVerdiere, M.M. former Maryknoll Sisters President and renown author. Paula Swaggerman Carvey and her husband Dana Carvey, American stand-up comedian and actor, will be the Maryknoll Sisters Partners in Mission Award recipients; and the O'Neil Family will be receiving the Maryknoll Sisters Foundation Award on behalf of the Cymaron Foundation.
