Farmmi, Inc. Provides Update on Status of Strategic Cooperation with Beijing Jiangqiao International Media Co., Ltd.


LISHUI, China, Aug. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmmi, Inc. (the "Company") (Nasdaq: FAMI), a leading agriculture products supplier in China, today provided an update on the status of its strategic cooperation with Beijing Jiangqiao International Media Co., Ltd ("JQ Media"). In June 2018, the Company and JQ Media established a poverty alleviation station in Changning County, Yunnan Province to procure Changning black tea planted by local farmers and to call for donations.

As previously disclosed in the press release on June 4, 2018, the Company signed an agreement (the "Agreement") with JQ Media. JQ Media filmed and produced Tastes of China, a documentary introducing selected geographical indication agricultural products in China ("Tastes of China Products"). Pursuant to the Agreement, JQ Media is obligated to help the Company get access to the supply of 17 Tastes of China Products, and to assist with negotiation of supply agreements.

Changning black tea is a Tastes of China Product in Changning County, Yunnan Province. Mangshui Town is one of the production areas of Changning black tea, but its tea selling channels are limited. Through the poverty alleviation station established by the Company and JQ Media in Lianfu Village, Mangshui Town, the Company has built the relationship with local tea farmers to procure locally produced Changing black tea, and calls for donations to help with the local poor in need.
