Hobsons Joins Community College Leaders at the ACE Convening on Community College Student Success and Completion
ARLINGTON, Va., July 31, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Hobsons, the education technology leader and company behind Starfish, yesterday attended the ACE Convening on Community College Student Success and Completion, hosted by the American Council on Education (ACE). The convening, sponsored by Hobsons, brought together leaders in community college research from across the country to discuss barriers to student success.
The goal of the convening was to discuss strategies to increase community college completion rates, consider areas in need of further research, and explore ways to best serve community college leaders and practitioners through research.

In partnership with Hobsons, ACE's Center for Policy and Research and Strategy (CPRS), which pursues thought leadership at the intersection of public policy and institutional strategy, has released three research briefs as part of a four-part series over the past 2 years. The research briefs examine the educational journeys of high school graduates who enroll in community college directly after high school. The research project analyzes data from the Education Longitudinal Study of 2002 (ELS), a nationally representative study of students who began 10th grade in 2002 and were tracked over a 10-year period.
The research briefs can be accessed below. The fourth brief is anticipated to be released in Fall 2018.
