Bao'an Industry Development Expo 2018 Signs Contracts for 31 Major Projects


SHENZHEN, China, July 31, 2018 /CNW/ -- From July 26 to 28, the Bao'an Industry Development Expo 2018, organized by the Economic Promotion Bureau of Bao'an District, was held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center as well as 12 other venues across Bao'an District.

The themes of this expo included "Core of the Greater Bay Area", "The Highland of Intelligent Innovation" and "A shared Home". A total of 408 leading companies and high-end manufacturers from Bao'an participated in the event. Over 230,000 visits were recorded. Most importantly, 31 contracts for major projects totaling over 76 billion yuan, were signed. Some of the main signing parties included Apostle from Silicon Valley, the headquarters of S.F. Holdings and Yunzhou Company. The contracts covered the areas of health, the Internet, and intelligent manufacturing, among others.

For the first time, the expo set up an area called the Sino-German Cooperation Demonstration. In the recent years, Bao'an has promoted cooperation between China and Germany, helping to forge good trade partnerships with German businesses. The connections between government and business associations have increased in recent years. In 2017, the total import and export volume between Bao'an and Germany was over USD1.5 billion.

During the expo, several keynote conferences and events were held, including the Era of Bay Area - Bao'an Industry Transformation and Upgrading Summit Forum and Industry 4.0 Conference on Electronics Manufacturing. Experts, academics and elites from key industries worldwide participated and provided new ideas for industrial development in Bao'an.

2018 marks the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening up policy in China. As one of the pioneers, Bao'an aims to build itself into the core of the Greater Bay Area, and attract more overseas capital with good business environment.

Anyone taking a flight to Shenzhen will land at the Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, ranked first in the Top Ten Most Beautiful Airports in the World. Bao'an District of Shenzhen City, is located in the core of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Planes take off and land in the area that served as a hub of the ancient Maritime Silk Road in the Han and Tang dynasties.
