Cumberland Farms Honors Memory Of Sergeant Michael C. Chesna With One-Day Fundraiser In Weymouth


WESTBOROUGH, Mass., July 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Cumberland Farms, a leading coffee, convenience and gasoline retailer, today announced that the company will host a one-day fundraiser on Friday, July 27th for the Officer Michael Chesna Family Fund at its two Weymouth stores, which are located at 767 Main Street and 5 Liberty Square. On that day, the company will donate 20 cents for every hot and iced coffee and Chill Zone beverage purchased to the Officer Michael Chesna Family Fund.

Michael C. Chesna, 42, was a member of the Weymouth Police Department for six years and was killed in the line of duty during a shooting earlier this month. He was also an Army veteran and a Purple Heart recipient who served two tours following 9/11. Michael C. Chesna is remembered by his loved ones for his generosity, passion for sports, and for being a loving father to his two children.

To donate directly to the Officer Michael Chesna Family Fund, residents can make checks payable to the "Officer Michael Chesna Family Fund" and send to the Weymouth Police Station, 140 Winter Street, Weymouth, MA 02188.
