WorldLegacy Leadership Team Brings Extreme Makeover to Lithuanian World Center in Illinois

CHICAGO, July 17, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- WorldLegacy's NC170th Leadership Team, based in North Carolina, will complete an extreme makeover at the Lithuanian World Center (LWC) in Lemont, Illinois, during the weekend of July 20th - July 22nd. WorldLegacy NC170 will paint the entire gym and install new padding on the gym wall. For artistic performances, NC170 will paint the theater stage, and install new theater curtains, a new projector, projector screen and high end sound system. This performance venue will be used by the 700 plus children who study at LWC. The entire hallway will be painted as well and cork boards will be mounted for displaying activities.

This project is a manifestation of the vision of WorldLegacy's NC170 Leadership Team. By involving the community in creating an extraordinary venue for the arts, an upgraded gym, and beautiful hallway, children will feel like they matter. This project will create a safe space to further the physical, cognitive, and emotional growth of children.

This extreme makeover project is the culmination of WorldLegacy's three-month leadership development program. What makes this project unique is that the WorldLegacy Leadership Team of seven individuals were charged with designing a project from start to finish, in which they cannot use any of their own money or raise money to finance the project, and they need to involve the community to do 75 percent of the work. The project must be complete in three days or less. No matter what the obstacles, failure is not an option!

The WorldLegacy Leadership team invites you to partner with them to make this project possible. Take an hour, a day or the entire weekend, and align your efforts with something bigger than yourself. Experience making a different for hundreds of children and families. The adventure begins on Friday, July 20th at noon and 8:00 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday at the Lithuanian World Center, in Lemont, IL. You can show up at the project at any time during the weekend, or you can call WorldLegacy at 919-678-6000 for more details.

All renovations will be completed by Sunday afternoon and will culminate with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 22nd. The ceremony will celebrate and honor all donors, volunteers and leaders who gave of their time, talents and resources to make the project a success. WorldLegacy invites the general public, volunteers, donors, and all those who work or use this organization to the ribbon cutting at 14911 127th St, Lemont, IL 60439
