Media Advisory - Government of Canada to announce funding in support of new research-industry partnerships
SHERBROOKE, QC, July 13, 2018 /CNW/ - The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities, will announce new funding that will lead to stronger partnerships between Canadian and international researchers and their industrial counterparts.
In addition to their collaborations, these research-industry teams will help train the next generation of Canada's science and engineering leaders so they have the skills they need for the jobs of tomorrow.
Before the announcement, the Minister will tour the "Quantum Fab Lab" with Professor Michel Pioro-Ladrière, Deputy Director of the Institut quantique
The Minister will be available to media following the announcement. All media are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign in at the reception desk.
