Sprint Rewards Its Customers with Sprint Customer Appreciation Days at Six Flags Great America

CHICAGO, July 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Sprint (NYSE:S) and Six Flags Great America join forces to celebrate Sprint customers with exclusive deals for the season. On select dates, Sprint customers will receive $25 off ticket prices1, free parking2, extended ride time for 45 minutes after the park closes, discounts off food and drinks, prizes when participating in the Sprint scavenger hunt around the park and special "surprise and delights". All park visitors can enjoy the highly anticipated Sprint Experience Store with free amenities including Wi-Fi.

The one-of-a-kind, Sprint Experience Store, now open at Six Flags Great America for all park visitors.

The one-of-a-kind relationship, network upgrades and additions are estimated at $1.4 million.

"This collaboration with Six Flags Great America brings many benefits to park visitors," said Jim Mills, Sprint President of the Midwest. "We're proud to roll out the red carpet for our customers on July 13, Aug. 5 and Sept. 30, while providing new and advanced network technologies to give attendees the best experience now and in the future."

Sprint Experience Store:
Sprint, for the first time, has opened an experience store for all park visitors at Six Flags Great America. It is open daily at the theme park starting at noon, and offers a comfortable indoor, climate-controlled environment with free amenities including Wi-Fi, charging stations, a big screen to watch a game, digital photo station, and shop exclusive deals on Sprint products3.

Sprint's Network Investment:
Sprint has invested heavily in its network at Six Flags Great America and surrounding areas (ex: Gurnee Mills) through the deployment of tools such as small cells. The company will soon be lighting up a new cell site at the park that features all three of Sprint's spectrum bands ? 800 MHz, 1.9 GHz and 2.5 GHz ? to give customers its fastest, most reliable service. Later this summer the company expects to deploy innovative Massive MIMO technology to dramatically boost network capacity and data speeds for park visitors. This innovative technology is core to Sprint's planned 5G mobile network launch beginning in first half of 2019 with Chicago among its first 5G markets.

Small cells are low-powered boxes installed on telephone poles, streetlights or other types of infrastructure throughout the theme park to boost data speeds. The small cells connect to the park's Outdoor Distributed Antenna System (oDAS) in order to transmit Sprint's 2.5 GHz service throughout Six Flags Great Americas.

These technologies will allow Sprint customers at the theme park to enjoy an even better data experience while streaming videos, surfing the web, and using their favorite online apps and services than before.

In addition to investing in public venues such as Six Flags Great America, Sprint is working to improve coverage, reliability and speed across Illinois. Today, Sprint has the fastest average download speed in the Central Illinois market4 and is #1 for fastest average download speed in Addison, Arlington Heights, Downers Grove, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Lombard, Oak Brook, Oswego, Rolling Meadows and Vernon Hills.5
