HOUSTON, July 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- alliantgroup was proud to serve as a sponsor for the inaugural TXU Energy Wings of Freedom 5K and Family Fun Run on July 4 at Karbach Brewery. The event was held in support of Houston's Be An Angel organization and their commitment to improving the quality of life for children across Texas with multiple disabilities or profound deafness through needed equipment and services. More than 500 people participated in this year's event.

Starting and ending at Karbach Brewery, the event included a timed and untimed 5K as well as live music and the family fun run. Those in attendance included former Houston Oilers quarterback and Be An Angel Vice Chairman Dan Pastorini, who served as the grand marshal of the event.

Be An Angel was founded in 1986 to provide life-changing benefits to children with special needs or profound deafness at T.H. Rogers School in Houston.
