Stephen Luczo joins Board of Directors at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford


STANFORD, Calif., July 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford has announced the appointment of Stephen "Steve" J. Luczo to its Board of Directors, effective July 1, 2018.

Luczo is Executive Chairman of the Board of Seagate Technology, where he previously served as chief executive officer from 1998-2004 and 2009-2017. He has been recognized as one of the top 100 performing CEO's in the world by Harvard Business Review, was ranked the No.1 Technology Leader in Bloomberg's top 20 list in 2013, and is among the top 5 technology leaders as rated by CNN Money, Business Insider, Fortune Magazine and Institutional Investor.

Luczo is best known for his leadership of the $20 billion buyout to take Seagate private in 2000, which up to that time was the single largest buyout in the technology industry and remains a text book case study at leading business schools around the world.

Luczo is a graduate of Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. He also earned an undergraduate degree in Economics and Psychology from Stanford University. He is active in a variety of charitable initiatives, and has served on the management boards of Microsoft and the New York Stock Exchange, among others. Luczo also served on the Advisory Board of the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
