"As a law enforcement officer, I saw myself in dangerous and potentially life-threatening situations. I found the need for increased safety measures for officers and others in similar professions. I developed my invention as a result of this need," said the inventor. The ROSS THE BOSS UMBRELLA SHIELD provides protection in dangerous situations. It serves as a supplement to safety vests and other protective gear. This lightweight and portable unit will deploy quickly and easily. It will protect the wearer from gunfire and projectile objects, thus reducing the risk for injury and possibly save lives. Additionally, it includes a metal detector, laser light with blind and stun settings, and an alarm.

The original design was submitted to the Fort Lauderdale office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
