InventHelp Inventor Develops Engine Cooling Device for Snow Plows (BMA-5121)

PITTSBURGH, July 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- On trucks with mounted plows, the risk of an engine overheating is very real. In between jobs when the plow is in a raised position, it can create a substantial obstruction in front of the radiator, preventing cool air from flowing through. When this happens, the engine can overheat, requiring the driver to stop the vehicle and wait while it cools down.

An inventor from Seabook, N.H., has invented patent pending PLOW AND COOL, a device for redirecting airflow around a truck's snowplow for effective cooling of the engine. "I have been plowing snow professionally and personally for years and am always frustrated by the frequency that my engine overheats while driving from one job to another," said the inventor. "We invented this device as a way to prevent that from happening." PLOW AND COOL helps to cool and protect the engine of a truck while operating a snowplow, allowing the engine to remain within a safe operating temperature while a plow is attached to the truck.

This invention eliminates the need to frequently stop to let the engine cool down. It provides the driver with peace of mind that his or her engine would not overheat, as well as eliminates the frustration and wasted time associated with said frequent stops.

The original design was submitted to the Boston office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
