As part of Imerys' ongoing corporate social promise, Imerys employees show their support and appreciation of veterans - through building and donating wheelchairs, serving food and providing sustenance - to veterans in need, throughout the year. And for over 25 years, Imerys Carbonates will donate Lime-Rite® lawn care products, and labor to beautify and fertilize the cemetery grounds during the Renewal & Remembrance event.

Joe Ayers, EHS Manager of Imerys Carbonates and U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard Veteran, was asked about his involvement in the event, Ayers had this to say:

Though I've been with Imerys Carbonates a short time, the personal level of involvement of our employees, supported by our management team is inspiring. It brings a sense of pride to be part of the event, not only as a veteran but to be part of a team that cares.

Imerys is especially proud to send many of their U.S. veteran employees, like Joe Ayers, to represent the company and to apply lime across Arlington National Cemetery. It is an honor to participate in the efforts to preserve the beautiful landscape of the final resting place for our fallen soldiers.
