Cape May and Wildwood Crest fishing fleet and New Jersey's longest running whale and dolphin watch becomes Cape Sea Excursions

CAPE MAY, N.J., July 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Nearly every summer day since 1976 Master Captain and Fisherman Jim Cicchitti has safely piloted his fleet from Cape May and Wildwood Crest harbors for guests seeking to capture the sea through fishing, whale and dolphin watching, and pirate adventure cruises. Together with his wife Tracie and an experienced crew, Cicchitti launched the Starlight Fleet, Cape May Watch & Research Center, the Dark Star Pirate Cruises and the Cape Star Bay Fishing and Eco Tours. This season the Cicchitti crew will bring all of their boating adventures together under a new umbrella banner: Cape Sea Excursions.

Cape Sea Excursions now take place on a variety of vessels including the 101-foot Starlight, the 100-foot Atlantic Star and American Star, the 50-foot Dark Star and Cape Star, and the 32-foot Southern Star.

"We bring our boats and experience to every guest experience," says Captain Jim Cicchitti. "Whether it's first-time anglers on the Cape Star in the back bays, or kids looking for a real-life pirate adventure, or those in search of our wonderful marine life, or even a sunset dinner cruise, we love watching our guests turn off their cell phones and experience this beauty. It never gets old for us."

Started in 1987, the Cape May Whale Watch & Research Center located on 1121 Route 109 at Utsch's Marina is New Jersey's longest running whale and dolphin watch combining Cape May's original eco-tours with ongoing marine mammal research on Bottlenose dolphins, Humpback and Baleen whales. A partnership with Whale SENSE ensures that their whale watching follows responsible practices.

"We are the forerunners in exploring our Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay for whales, dolphins and birds with an emphasis on their interconnectedness to our eco-system and underscoring the importance of conservation," says Tracie Cicchitti.
