NEW YORK, June 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Commercial Observer, the leading commercial real estate media company, announces today it has expanded its coverage to include the greater Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

The New York-headquartered publication will bring exclusive, in-depth reporting of all aspects of the commercial real estate industry to Washington, D.C., including leasing, finance, investment sales and design and construction news. Coverage of the D.C. market will feature a mix of transactional news, professional profiles, industry insights and bylined articles written by local commercial real estate professionals.

"By expanding its coverage nationally to Washington, D.C., Commercial Observer is following the needs of its readers and clients," said James Karklins, president of Commercial Observer.  "Commercial Observer produces best-in-class reporting of the commercial real estate industry, providing a platform that allows companies the opportunity to speak directly to their target audiences--including lenders, owners, brokers and other professional services firms servicing the industry--wherever they are."

In addition to its breaking news coverage online, Commercial Observer has launched a weekly Washington, D.C., email that will deliver regional and national commercial real estate market news directly to more than 18,000 industry professionals across the region.

Commercial Observer will also launch signature editorial features focused on greater Washington, D.C., including its in-depth Power Player profiles, Sit Down interviews with the top names in the industry, its famed Power List, and will expand its events platform, which produces approximately 16 events each year focusing on the latest leasing, finance and construction trends.

Christina Sturdivant-Sani will serve as Commercial Observer's D.C.-based reporter, and the company plans to hire additional resources in the region.  Washington, D.C., story tips and exclusives may be sent to [email protected].

"Last year, Newmark Knight Frank put out a report showing employment up, salaries rising and a burgeoning tech sector in Washington, D.C.," said Max Gross, editor in chief of Commercial Observer. "That means a burgeoning real estate market, and one that could use a publication to delve into how that plays out on a micro level. We're answering that call."
