Quebecor announces major donation to Fondation Yvon Deschamps Centre-Sud

MONTRÉAL, June 19, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - In keeping with its commitment to the community, Quebecor today announced a $150,000 donation to the Fondation Yvon Deschamps Centre-Sud, which raises money to help the Association sportive et communautaire du Centre-Sud (ASCCS) make life better for children and families in Montréal's Centre-Sud neighbourhood. The announcement was made at the world premiere of the Denys Arcand film La chute de l'empire américain (The Fall of the American Empire). The launch party was a benefit for the Fondation Yvon Deschamps Centre-Sud.

"What the Fondation Yvon Deschamps does for the community is very much in line with the values of sharing and mutual support that Quebecor holds dear," said Pierre Karl Péladeau, President and CEO of Quebecor. "We are happy to invest in our community by supporting the Foundation's important work. Together, we are helping to give kids in the Centre-Sud neighbourhood a chance to build a better future."

Quebecor's contribution to the Fondation Yvon Deschamps Centre-Sud will be spread over three years. It will be used for expansion of the ASCCS's multipurpose centre and development of new ways to help children develop by providing them with a healthy and stimulating environment.
