Stem Software wheels in former Volkswagen, Michelin exec to fuel growth

MIDLAND-ODESSA, Texas, June 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Stem Software is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Robert Brescia as President and CEO.  Dr. Brescia has twice served in the Pentagon, was Chief Administrative Officer of Army Materiel Command, served under two US presidents and has held top leadership roles in the private sector with Volkswagen and Michelin. He also has an impressive list of domestic and international achievements with various other governmental and private organizations.

Stem Founder, Joshua Crawford, is enthusiastic about the opportunity to bring in someone with such impressive credentials to lead the ten-year-old oilfield technology solutions and software company looking to expand its offerings.

"We are building on the foundation we have laid," says Crawford. "I needed someone with a proven track record of success to help cultivate the offerings that we currently have, and expand these core offerings into new directions we are developing."

These new directions are focused primarily on two new products - Reap AI and Reap Labs. Reap AI uses patent-pending artificial intelligence (AI) processes to predict and prevent equipment failures.  Reap Labs will use real-world options for testing clients' new technology.  Both of these will be coming on-line over the next few months.

Reap AI will be strengthened by a panel of oil industry veterans that Crawford calls the "Silverback Guild." Leveraging their vast combined years of experience this panel will incorporate their decision-making processes into the platform, thus bridging the gap between technology and the human factor.

Dr. Brescia affirmed his excitement about Stem's breakthrough software offerings for the energy sector.  "Well optimization can be achieved and sustained through the regular use of the Reap AI platform.  Additionally, we will offer a team of industry experts that can be utilized when a client needs extra help.  With their expertise acquired through many years in the oil industry, in diverse disciplines, our "Silverbacks" can be your bench strength." says Dr. Brescia.
