Center for Surrogate Parenting Discusses Uniform Parentage Act in Washington State

ENCINO, Calif., June 01, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Center for Surrogate Parenting, Inc. is now accepting Washington State surrogates due to the state recently enacting into law a comprehensive new Uniform Parentage Act, effective January 1, 2019. According to a May 21, 2018, Above The Law article, although Washington had previously allowed altruistic surrogacy, where one doesn't get paid and where it's hard to find a nice person willing to be pregnant for someone for free, the new law eliminated the previous state ban on compensated surrogacy.

"This new bill will help infertile couples in Washington State who would otherwise be forced to seek help outside the state to begin a family," said Karen Synesiou, CEO of Center for Surrogate Parenting, Inc. (CSP).

Due to the new law, CSP is now accepting surrogate moms from Washington State. "However, no legal contracts may be signed with surrogate moms from Washington until January 1st, 2019, when the bill goes into effect," noted Synesiou.

Furthermore, anyone who has a friend that is interested in becoming a surrogate mother is encouraged to refer her to CSP. Once matched with one of CSP's intended parents and after signing a contract, CSP will thank them by offering an increased referral fee as follows:
