HOLLYWOOD, Calif., May 28, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Nitanee's Annual Super Sweet Soirée and Charity Benefit Showcase was held on May 9, 2018 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood in support of two important organizations, Rock Against Trafficking and the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CASTLA). This year's event was sponsored by ArtistMax, Planet LA Records, Allihoopa, Social Light, and the Hawaii Songwriting Festival, and featured a stellar line-up of talented musicians including ArtistMax artists Mira Goto and Presley Tennant; and fantastic performances by Saving Forever; Steve Rodgers, Miranda Glory, Casey Cook, Hummingbird Hotel, Katie Ferrara, Hollywood & Mars (feat. Rachelle Renesse, Maelan Abran, & Alexandria Paris), Elijah, Jazara, Liiv Cargile, and Chaz Mason.

Rock Against Trafficking was founded by record producer and musician, Gary Miller whose credits include David Bowie, Lionel Richie, George Michael, Donna Summer, and many more. Miller started the organization to raise awareness of the global slave trade, collaborating with world class musicians including Sting and The Police, Slash and Fergie, Glenn Hughes, and many more to shed light on the issue.

The Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST) is a Los Angeles?based nonprofit organization that is working to put an end to modern slavery and human trafficking through comprehensive, lifesaving services to survivors and a platform to advocate for groundbreaking policies and legislation.

Every year millions of men, women, and children are trafficked in countries around the world, including the United States. It is estimated that human trafficking is second only to drug trafficking as the most profitable form of transnational crime. Nitanee and partners hope to grow the showcase each year using the power of music to shed light on this global problem.
