C2 Montréal can count on the Government of Canada's support

Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions provides $1.5 million in funding for the organization

MONTREAL, May 25, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ -  Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Government of Canada confirmed today that it has awarded $1.5 million in funding to C2 Montréal. The financial assistance has been divided up into two equal sums of $750,000 for the 2018 and 2019 editions of this annual international conference.

The support will allow the organization to promote the event, facilitate B2B networking events and support the development of workshops and master classes, thus helping to spur innovation by Quebec businesses.

For its 7th edition, C2 Montréal will be able to build on its excellent reputation gained through the success of the event in previous years. Regularly listed among the most innovative international business conferences, C2 Montréal has become a key player in the Greater Montreal entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The funding, which takes the form of a non-repayable contribution, is provided under CED's Quebec Economic Development Program.

Quote

"The Government of Canada is proud to support C2 Montréal, which continues to showcase its remarkable capacity to innovate and reinvent itself. CED's financial contribution to this major international event will not only spur innovation among Canadian businesses, but will also strengthen Montreal's position as a window on the world."

The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister responsible for CED
