2nd Annual South Bay VegFair comes to San Jose June 16th and Hosts Dog/Cat Adoption Event

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 23, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The South Bay VegFair would like to announce a dog adoption event taking place during the festival in partnership with organizations Silicon Valley Animal Control, Make A Wish Dog Rescue, and Every Pet's Dream. The organizations will be presenting approximately 25 dogs and cats for adoption to homes to ensure these animals are not sent to animal shelters to face euthanasia. This community-based event invites residents of San Jose, CA and surrounding areas to come and view adoptees and learn about animal companionship.

Coming June 16th, the South Bay VegFair will be held at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds from 12pm to 9pm. The event will feature plant-based meals, speakers, workshops, performances, up to 100 vendors, adoptions and more activities for all ages.

"Without someone actively advocating for homeless animals they can very easily end up euthanized when there are many families whom have the capacity to love them well into their senior years," says VegFair organizer and army veteran Stephanie Caruthers. "VegFair is all about exposing the importance of animals, nature and community while making memories every step of the way."

South Bay VegFair is San Jose's largest vegan event and provides a platform for artists, businesses, and presenters. It also allows the growing vegan community to gather so they may learn, reconnect, dine, and experience tales from around the globe that affect us all.
