The World's Best in Food & Entertainment Are About to Descend on Toronto for an Exclusive Entertainment Series

VAUGHAN, Ontario, May 07, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- World class entertainers, artists and celebrity chefs and fashion designs will descend on Toronto this spring for an exclusive, invite-only series that has already secured performances by the likes of Drake, Jennifer Hudson, Robin Thicke and David Blaine. Known only as Après Noir, the event concept is billed as the first of its kind in the world.

The 12-part series will kick off May 17th at luxury event venue Chateau Le Jardin. Each event has been uniquely curated to include various entertainers and world-class chefs. Unlike traditional concert halls, the venue will have seating for only 900 people, ensuring a grander, intimate guest experience.

"It is our pleasure to introduce Après Noir to the world in what we hope will become a highly coveted affair," said Carlo Parentela, owner of Chateau Le Jardin and creator of Après Noir. "Each event will deliver a diverse range of unique world-class talents, including world-renowned chef's and performances by a different international talent every month."

Each event will also feature various installations including an art exhibit by Daniel Mazzone, who has been called "the next Andy Warhol."

"Après Noir is the perfect platform to showcase the vast range of artistic talent that surrounds us," said Mazzone. "For me, the Après Noir series is a creative vehicle where my artwork can co-exist seamlessly with art, music and gastronomy all under one roof--and that is something you don't get to experience every day."

The full line up for the year has yet to be announced, however May, June and July have been made public on social media and includes talents such as Drake, Bobby Flay, Giada De Laurentiis, David Blaine, Robin Thicke, Jennifer Hudson, Shaggy, Mia Martina, Jessie Reyez, DIA, Bob Saget, 2 Cellos and Lidia Bastianich.

"The culinary portion of the events is something that we are truly proud of with celebrity chefs like Bobby Flay curating menus that really highlight the culinary opulence of our event. May's menu will include Black Russian Caviar a Takzhe Blini, Angus Beef Tartar, Ostrich Filet and Japanese Blue Fin Tuna Sushi," said Parentela.

The global appeal of the entertainment series means that many guests are coming from outside Canada, such as Melbourne, Milan, LA, NYC, Kentucky, Tennessee and Miami.

"Après Noir has the ability to create global appeal from all corners of the world and further solidify our city as one of the greatest stages to perform on and a remarkable destination for tourists," said Parentela.

For the Parentelas, it's not just about bringing talent to the city either, it's also about giving back. They will be giving a portion of profits to Sunnybrook Hospital and SickKids Hospital.
