Honda Canada Reports April Sales Results

MARKHAM, ON, May 1, 2018 /CNW/ - Honda Canada Inc. today reported total April sales of 17,507 Honda and Acura vehicles, down 4.3 percent from the previous year. The Honda Automobile Division reported April sales of 15,424 units sold, down 7 percent, while the Acura Division reported April sales of 2,083 units, up 23 percent versus last year.

"Acura sales catapulted an impressive 23 percent in April thanks to strong performance by the RDX and TLX, in addition to launching a client-first concierge program aimed at creating an ideal service experience for our customers," said Emile Korkor, Acura Brand Lead. "The TLX eclipsed last month sales while the RDX continues to draw in customers as one of the best vehicles in the segment."

"Despite lower-than-expected April sales figures, Honda's core models ? Civic, Accord, CR-V ?  continued to lead their segments in retail sales," said Jean Marc Leclerc. "As we're seeing industry-tastes continue to shift towards light trucks, we're confident in seeing a return to form as we get into the Spring and Summer months with our most robust light truck lineup ever."
