PharmaSmart Inks Major Healthcare Deal with Schnucks Supermarkets

ROCHESTER, N.Y., April 23, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- PharmaSmart® International Inc., a leading health screening, and digital health management company, has announced a new partnership with Schnuck Markets, Inc., a Midwestern regional grocer based in St. Louis, Mo. PharmaSmart will deploy its clinically validated Kiosk (Model PS2000), and its interoperable digital health platform at each Schnucks in-store pharmacy. All kiosks will be manufactured and distributed out of PharmaSmart's Rochester, NY manufacturing, and distribution center.

Schnucks intends to leverage PharmaSmart's clinical-grade program to drive Medicare Star Ratings objectives, specifically measuring D-14 (Medication Adherence for Hypertension), and C-19 (Controlling Blood Pressure), both of which are triple-weighted measures of high interest to national and regional insurers. Commercial plans also stand to benefit as they seek to improve cardiovascular outcomes through the reduction of long-term risk factors such as hypertension.
