Death of an inmate at Archambault Institution
STE-ANNE-DES-PLAINES, QC, April 16, 2018 /CNW/ - On April 13, 2018, Yves Bélanger, an inmate from Archambault Institution died while in our custody.
At the time of his death, Mr. Bélanger, 57 years old, had been serving a life sentence for second degree murder since December 15, 1986.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada will review the circumstances and contact the police and the coroner if required.
