FREDERICTON JUNCTION, NB, April 13, 2018 /CNW/ - The governments of Canada and New Brunswick are working together to provide residents and businesses with modern, reliable and sustainable public infrastructure that will help safeguard public health and improve the quality of life for New Brunswickers.
Karen Ludwig, Member of Parliament for New Brunswick Southwest, on behalf of the Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, the Honourable Rick Doucet, Minister of Energy and Resource Development and Minister of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries, along with James Webb, Deputy Mayor of the Village of Fredericton Junction today announced more than $1.6 million in joint funding for two new infrastructure projects that will benefit the people living in Fredericton Junction.
First, residents will benefit from clean and reliable water thanks to the replacement of a municipal well. The second project involves renewing the Wilsey Road Wastewater Pumping Station to ensure the village can continue to provide residents with modern and efficient wastewater treatment services.
Once completed, these projects will help ensure a healthy environment and community, and protect the local waterways for Fredericton Junction residents.
