Ontario residents one step closer to collecting lottery prize

Prize Claim Subject to Insider Win Process

TORONTO, March 27, 2018 /CNW/ - John Hunwicks of Maple and Louise Tallman of Niagara-on-the-Lake are one step closer to claiming their lottery win of $50,000 from the ONTARIO 49 draw on November 29, 2017.

As John's son is an employee at an OLG retail location, his prize falls within OLG's definition of an Insider Win.

As of today's date, this prize claim has completed the first step of a two-step Insider Wins process, which is an independent prize claim review by a third-party, working in partnership with OLG's regulator, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

To complete the prize claim process this prize will be held for a 30-day waiting period as part of OLG's Insider Wins process, in order for OLG to publicize the win. If there are no additional claims on this prize, it will be paid to the claimants on April 25, 2018 based on this 30-day wait period.

If the pay date falls on a day that is not a business day, then the following business day shall be deemed to be the pay date.

The ticket was purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart on Yonge Street in Richmond Hill.
