Nuvo Group Names Debra Bass as Global Chief Marketing Officer and President, Nuvo Group America


NEW YORK, March 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Nuvo Group, LTD, an emerging leader in maternal-fetal connected health, today named Debra Bass as Global Chief Marketing Officer and President, Nuvo Group America.  In this newly-created role, Ms. Bass will lead global development of the Nuvo Group corporate brand and the U.S. market introduction of the company's innovative pathway utilizing Nuvo Group's patented sensor-based wearable monitoring technologies, big data analytics, and cloud-based platform to deliver leading-edge solutions designed to advance the delivery of maternal-fetal care.

A widely-recognized leader in global marketing, Ms. Bass joins Nuvo Group from Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Consumer Companies where she most recently served as President of Global Marketing Services and led a team of over 200 professionals responsible for accelerating profitable growth among J&J's nearly $14 billion portfolio of global and regional brands. In this capacity, Ms. Bass provided visionary thinking and operational leadership to create new capabilities to evolve the consumer business model and commercial playbook to better compete in today's age of heightened consumer expectations and digital disruption.

Prior to leading Global Marketing Services for J&J's consumer companies, Ms. Bass served as Global President of J&J's global baby care franchise and was responsible for the long-term growth of iconic JOHNSON'Stm brand and the portfolio of broader baby equities including AVEENO BABYtm, PENATENtm, ELSKERtm, and DESITINtm.  Additionally, Ms. Bass has held marketing leadership positions in the medical devices sector at J&J and in pharmaceuticals with Bristol Myers Squibb Company, and started her career with classical brand management training at Procter & Gamble building iconic brands such as Tidetm detergent and Cover Girltm cosmetics.

Ms. Bass is a sought-after industry speaker with engagements at Cannes Lion's Health, Modern Marketing Summit, and New York Advertising Week. She was recently recognized with the "Top 100 Women in Brand Marketing" Award by Brand Innovators.  Additionally, Ms. Bass is actively committed to advancing Women's Leadership. Prior to joining Nuvo Group, Ms. Bass served on the Global Women's Leadership Initiative Steering Committee at J&J Companies and as an Executive Director of the powerful #SeeHer Advertising Industry Initiative.  Ms. Bass is currently a member of the P&G Alumni Women's Forum and was recently recognized with a Tri-State Diversity "Most Powerful and Influential Women" award for her commitment to Women's Leadership.

Ms. Bass holds a B.A. in Public Policy from Duke University and an M.B.A. in General Management from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business.
